Woodworking Project Paper Plan to Build Shaving Mirror

Build a circa 1750-1775 shaving mirror reproduction. It’s an enjoyable design for most woodworker to build. It is an unusual project from an unusual time in our country’s history. All parts and construction, joinery, and curved workpieces are shown on the plan in actual size and you can measure and trace straight from the drawing. If you want a true reproduction in all respects, the inside portion of the mirror frame should be embossed and finished in old gold plating. Plan includes instructions for making simple embossing tools. The project is small enough to make it do-able by most levels of woodworkers. A bill of materials doubles as an exact cutting list, there is a detailed exploded diagram, and all hardware requirements are provided. The exploded diagram is so detailed that project specific assembly instructions are not provided.
