16-32 Drum Sander

The SuperMax 16-32 Drum Sander comes standard with features not found on any other drum sander on the market: A Patented “Quick Adjust Lever” allows height adjustments from 0” to 3” with just one pull of a lever versus 48 revolutions of a hand wheel greatly reducing set-up time and increases productivity. A built-in Digital Read Out (DRO) helps maintain consistent thicknesses to increase accuracy and quality. A newly designed Turbo Vented Dust Port which increases CFM air-flow to dust collectors by 15%. Additionally, this new 16-32 drum sander includes the same excellent features found on the larger open-ended drum sanders from SuperMax Tools.
A simple alignment feature: just one nut will adjust the conveyor to parallel the sanding head making aligning the conveyor to the sanding head quickly and easily as well as indexed alignment settings. An indexed alignment setting for narrow and wide stock: when sanding stock wider than 16”, the index level will properly adjust the conveyor for flawless wide sanding. Easy height adjustments: a thrust bearing below the handle and a nut positioned above prevents the drum from moving out of the set position while sanding and there’s no backlash or slop in the height adjustment mechanism allowing for easier and smoother height adjustments.
INTELLISAND Technology: which automatically adjusts conveyor speed based on load and prevents gouging, damaging, or burning stock. INTELLISAND also provides a consistent finish even with varying grain patterns and densities. Flatness Guarantee: the precision-flattened steel conveyor bed is reinforced with four steel cross sections for no “flex”; guaranteeing flatness to less than .010” across the width of the sander. Patented Abrasive Attachment System: effectively tensions the abrasive wraps preventing abrasive end overlap. Adjustable tension rollers: adjustable in height and hold down pressure eliminating snipe.
